INGREDIENTS
3 ounces bittersweet/semisweet chocolate
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 + ¾ tsp baking powder
1 ½ cups castor sugar
4 eggs, at room temperature + 1 large egg yolk
1/3 cup milk
1 ½ cup butter
2 + ½ tsp vanilla extract
Powder sugar, garnish
PROCEDURE
Pre-heat oven to 180C. Grease dundt pan with cake spray or oil and dust little flour.
Heat chocolate over warm water (double boiler). Stir constantly.
Turn off heat and cover to keep it warm.
Sift together all-purpose flour, baking powder and sugar..
In another bowl, using fork, beat eggs, egg yolk, milk and vanilla extract until blended.
Add butter and half of the egg mixture to dry ingredients.
Beat on low speed. Add in the rest of the egg mixture and continue beating till just combined.
Equally divide the batter and pour melted chocolate in one batter and mix well.
Alternatively add chocolate batter and vanilla batter into the bundt pan to give a marble look.
Bake till done. Cool till room temperature.
